Okay, so Amazon decided to remove books that have homosexuality mentioned in them because they are "adult". So pretty much playboy centerfold collections are still searchable on amazon but not YA books dealing with homosexuality.

I am so furious right now. I am wondering if amazon can see things they search for on their site because I just searched for "amazon is full of homophobic fuckheads".

Also, search homosexuality on amazon right now and see what pops up? Yeah books on how to prevent homosexuality.

I just...am speechless that they can get away with something like this.

Hooray! We are totally partying later. It probably won't be as amazing as election night was though. Mostly because there won't be fireworks or people making harry potter references.

I am having a wonderful time here but DAMN I miss my lovelies...

Hope everyone had a merry christmas! I'm not sure what happened but due to some rather potent eggnog the majority of my family spent most of christmas in a drunken stupor. This...has never happened with my family before so that was entertaining... I also found out that my cousin can down a beer in four seconds. My brother and I had a fit of hysterical laughter last night at nine when we realized we had been drinking since three that afternoon. It was the eggnog. We blame the eggnog entirely.

I also had a bad experience with my newfound vegetarianism! I figured that the meal would be like it was at thanksgiving...meaning lots of vegetables and side dishes. Apparently I thought wrong.

EVERY side dish managed to have meat in it in some form except for the mashed potatoes and the cranberries. The freaking green beans were cooked in beef broth! I mean, seriously, who does that? I did not realize this until the actual meal happened. Fortunately, mashed potatoes and cranberries happen to be some of my two favorite things.. In any case, this was the first christmas meal ever that I was still sort of hungry afterwards...

I haven't watched doctor who yet......I want to soon!

Things currently seem a little......fucked.

So, I have a prompt for creative writing in which I am supposed to write about a sadness that changes into something good.

This would be awesome if I hadn't taken the more open-ended prompt to write an extremely intense piece that covered this topic. And now I got nothin'.

So I wrote this instead:

“I Should Probably Write an Actual Piece”
a poem

Das is sad backwards.
That’s not really a word.
I’m feeling sad towards
This prompt—it’s a turd
I wrote about sadness last time
Even though I’m rarely sad
You want sadness to change, well fine!
Now, I’m really really mad.

In a matter of a few hours I have managed to accidentally be 20 minutes late to my England orientation meeting( greeeat first impression, right?) AND get nearly killed by an evil possessed stairmaster machine.

Weeeelll, its midnight so that means that I'm officially twenty-one. Most of the times its sort of just like "okaaay another birthday! woo numbers!" and its a fun day where people say "yay you!" and you're allowed to stuff yourself with cake.

This time it feels different because I honest to god feel like a different person than I did at the beginning of the summer. It's really funny. I feel like this summer while in some ways being the worst summer ever because it contained a period of time where I felt the worst I have ever felt..the lowest of the low.. but in many ways this summer has been good. To come out of that place in some ways makes you stronger I guess. And also? I've exercised my brains out all summer for the first time in my life and I feel better than I ever have in my entire life physically. Like that sounds dumb but everyone who says it makes you feel better in every way are completely correct, I'm sorry to say haha.

Like, for the first time in my life I feel confident. Don't get me wrong! I'm a pretty confident seeming person...I make friends really easily and am sort of a loud person....but I've never felt....good enough or pretty enough or something...I don't know. I know I'm not alone...I feel like most people probably feel this way.

and Now? I'm sort of like "what was that shit? I have no reason to feel that way!" because... well I don't even know why really. But the for the first time in my life, I feel like a fucking person. Like someone who is worth your time.

So, I'm twenty one and that means I'm supposed to be an adult now and drink responsibly and know what I want to do with my life but you wanna know the real truth? I'm just getting started. (Although, you guys really don't have to worry about me not drinking responsibly haha)

Got a feeling twenty-one is gunna be a good year. Especially if you and me sit it in together.

So, I just came back from a restaurant where some girl was having her 16th birthday party. I heard the following conversation:

Girl 1: You know, you sort of look like Edward Cullen.
Girl 2: WHAT? Thanks a lot! You're telling me I look like a male vampire!?
Girl 1: (I swear to god, completely sincerely) But, no! He's like......BEAUTIFUL!

Those of you who are long time friends will recall this but many many MANY moons ago (like...a year and a half ago maybe?) I got my mom to watch Supernatural Season 1 and she called Sam, Dean and John: Emo, Macho, and Denny. Fast forward to today when my Mom and I went to go see some silly movie. Jeffery Dean Morgan was in some trailer and my mom leans over to me.

Mom: Is that Denny?
Lana: Yes.
Mom: Why isn't he burning on the ceiling?
Lana: No, it was the *Mom* that was burning on the ceiling.
Mom: Oh well, same difference.
Lana: *facepalm*

So, today I has a booklist.

These are not very intelligent additions to the booklist but I do not care! They were so much fun! hee!

I get to work again tomorrow! Which I'm not excited about right NOW but I will be once they pay me. XD.

So, Macduff didn't actually end up going anywhere! The charger issue was easily fixed(yay!). So, then I asked about getting the fact my laptop won't close anymore fixed and the guy was like, "Weeeeeeelll you *could* get it fixed and it will cost you around $700 dollars OR you could use velcro." hahaha! and actually using velcro hadn't even occurred to me! So, problem solved!

I am in DC and we did nothing yesterday and today but get Jay moved out of his house. It was looooong. But, I do really like DC, its such a cool city.

Oh I also saw Mamma Mia today and it was quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen but OH WAS IT FUN! <33

PS I'm not really horny but that mood thing has GOT to be the funniest thing I have ever seen and I wanted to use it so bad! hahaha.

Soooo tomorrow I take my wonderful laptop to the apple store. I don't want to be separated from it and fear the whole possibility of erasure thing. My itunes library is sort of epic and I haven't gotten it on all disks since The Great Cd And Dvd Caper Of '06. I got as many on to disks as I could and wrote down all of my albums. If it DOES get erased then limewire ftw.

What does this mean for you guys? It means I will not be on AIM until I get Macduff(my laptop's name) back. I'll let you know the timeframe when I know.

ALSO tomorrow, we're going to visit Jay in DC for the weekend. So, you probably won't hear much from me this weekend. OR you might. You never know about internet connections.

ALSO, I have a nerdy question that has caused a lot of debate today:

So, yeah the keys never showed up. Which is weird because they have to be SOMEWHERE because I haven't gone anywhere in days and there has been no one at our house to steal them.

So, I've decided they must have been turned into those shrinking keys from Harry Potter.

In any case, I have to call AAA this morning since I don't have enough car payments to make. Bye Bye, newly acquired moneys from babysitting!

My mom and I have been literally looking for my keys for about 3 1/2 hours now.
